e-scan R

The standard for ROS and RNS quantification and identification

escan

The e-scan is a compact and easy to use benchtop analyzer for EPR spectroscopy. EPR spectroscopy is the only analytical method to directly detect paramagnetic species, such as radicals. The e-scan combines an answer for todays demands for a tailored analyical instrument with the flexibility of a research-grade instrument.

Bruker is the world-wide leader of EPR instrumentation. Our EPR products range from the e-scan to the most advanced, high-level research platform, the ELEXSYS spectrometer series. Thanks to Bruker's experience the e-scan delivers unparalleled price-to-performance ratio.

Key Features of the e-scan:

  • research grade sensitivity
  • predefined acquisition schemes
  • fully automatic data evaluation
  • user level security
  • automatic instrument validation and
    system data logging
  • easy to learn windowsTM software

Bruker's e-scan spectrometer has numerous applications in medical and pharmeceutical studies. Primary amongst these are the spin trapping, identification and characterization of Reactive Oxygen Species. The e-scan spectrometer can be also be used to directly detect antioxidants following a reaction with a Reactive Oxygen Species.

Other medical and pharmeceutical appliations of the e-scan spectrometer include: Evaluation of the antiradical and antioxidant capability; Spin Label research (e.g. in pharmacokinetics); Mobility studies of membranes, proteins, bicells; 3D-structural information from double site directed spin labeling techniques.
