Xepr Control & Monitoring

Complete Spectrometer & Accessory Management

Goniometer Control

Compartmentalization is a central theme within Xepr.  Control and monitoring of individual devices are localized into individual windows and tabs to aide in fast and efficient experiment execution.   The localization of component control allows the user to focus on the steps necessary for each individual task.  For example, microwave bridge tuning is achieved via the MW Bridge window which includes controls for receiver phase, MW frequency, and MW power, and, of course, the auto-tuning button.  The advantages of such localization are further exemplified in the Experiment Acquisition window where tabs, such as Field, Signal Channel, and Pulse Patterns, focus on each aspect of experiment definition.

Monitoring Panel

All spectrometer monitoring is similarly localized within Xepr.  The spectrometer status panel provides an at-a-glance overview of the instrument and accessories in real-time.  Relevant experimental parameters displayed include:

  • Sample orientation
  • Resonator temperature
  • Resonator Q
  • Field Position
  • Teslameter field reading
  • Microwave Frequency
  • Microwave Power
  • AFC lock offset
  • Receiver level
  • Field-Frequency lock offset
